Wordpress featured (external) image.

Hi..

i am poster on Wordpress..

my freind changed thema and now i need to post url image manualy

can you make to TP put first image on my post to URL of featured image automatic

hope you understand me

Added support for that field in 2.30.

Just make sure that in "CONFIG" -> "General posting" -> "Grab first image as cover" is enabled and it will be used for that field.

I think that many of us have the same problem about mostly wordpress themes which it requires a featured image for post thumbnails. New themes use this feature and it get worse the quality of the blogs if you can not use a featured image.

I suggest to display an option which fetch first image of a post and convert it to a featured image for WP with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-remote-thumbnail/screenshots/

I didn't find any solution searching on internet about this.

It's already supported.

Might be a new plugin.

I will need URL and some login details to test.

Are you saying that If I enable that field, the external image of my post will be fetched and converted to Featured Image for wordpress?

It will be filled in "Featured image URL" field (the one that doesn't need uploading).

But it won't work for your blog because I was not able to test it then because of errors in your blog.

Will take a look for next update.
